Which is the best way to try to be sustainable as a brand? It’s definitely necessary to have standards to follow, obviously reliable and certified, analyse the results and compare them in the long run. But is it possible to do all this on your own? Well… it’s not impossible but it’s certainly complicated. That’s why there are companies like Standard Ethics that deal with sustainability ratings.

The project they launched will be called SE European fashion&luxury Index and will come to life in the first half of next year. International rules will be established regarding the sustainability of the entire company with a review of the data every six months. Rules that will be established by organisations such as the European Union, the UN and the OECD. No jokes guys, this is a serious issue! For now, the companies that will come into play are about twenty, starting from sportswear with Puma and Adidas, to the unrestrained luxury of LVMH, Richemont, Prada, Hermès up to the fast fashion of Inditex and H&M.

But what will be these rules to follow? Stay tuned to find out!
