Nowadays, you can rent nearly everything, from apartments to villas, cars, bicycles etc… But do you know that you can also rent bags, in particular luxury bags? Oh yes, for this we can use Sisterly platform.
Beatrice Pedrali, the co-founder, explains us how this idea was created. When she was little, her sister, super passionate about fashion, gave her tips on her outfits and especially she used to steal some bags to complete her looks. But who is not lucky enough to have a sister (with a closet that’s a scream, I would add)?
That’s the origin of the name Sisterly, which comes from the word sister, in fact, both borrowers and landers are called sisters. The goal is precisely to create a community of friends and make the world of luxury more inclusive and accessible to all.
If one day we get out of bed and want to feel like Blair Waldorf in Gossip Girl but we don’t have an apartment in New York and we don’t have 20k of outfits, well, where’s the problem? We can always rent a vintage Chanel for 30 euros!
Xoxo
In addition, Sisterly is a B-corporation, meaning that it’s a company committed to ensuring a positive impact on the environment and society. The goal is not only to create a community but also to share and reuse bags that maybe we no longer exploit as before.
On the platform you can also calculate the environmental savings of renting a specific bag, only by entering the price. For example, instead of buying a new Bambino by Jacquemus and letting it gather dust in the closet, renting it would save you 10 shot down trees and 978 km by car. Not surprisingly, Sisterly’s motto is: “More bags, less waste”.
Well, anyway I am an only child, this new platform is for me! What do you think?
