Fashion loves cinema and cinema loves fashion. After the latest fashion film “House of Gucci,” a TV series of only 4 episodes has been released on HBO about the fashion world, titled “Kingdom of Dreams – The New Sovereigns of Fashion.”
During the TV series, we will find out how the fashion phenomenon has evolved from the 1990s until today, going through the most salient moments. But who are the protagonists of this docu-series?
Let’s start with Tom Ford who, against all taboos, brings sex and fetish to the Gucci runway, Marc Jacobs who disassociated himself from trends and adopted a countercurrent taste, transforming the Parisian fashion house Louis Vuitton. Continuing with Jhon Galliano, appointed creative director of Dior, who decide to focus not only on fashion and the fashion show itself but also on what surrounds it, thus lighting, choreography and music. Finally, Alexander McQueen who put a twist on Givenchy by bringing a dark and gothic mood.
