This weekend I was doing the wardrobe change in view of the arrival of spring and I was putting away some of my furs, fake of course!

By now, most of the brands have decided to become fur free, finally I would say! Even luxury brands have supported this choice, the last one that decided to abandon real fur was Dolce & Gabbana in January 2022. The other brands that have already joined this initiative are Burberry, Gucci, Chanel, Phillip Lim, Coach, Diane Von Furstenberg, DKNY, Michael Kors, Versace and Armani, although they will continue to use exotic leathers. After all, is it really necessary to use real animals fur when we have so many alternatives?

Let’s go back in time and have a throw back to the 90s, when Naomi Campbell and Christy Turlington posed for the PETA campaign (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) proposing this slogan: “I’d Rather go naked wear than fur.” Honestly, I couldn’t agree more! What do you think? Better naked or wearing real fur?
