August 26th. Today is an important day. Do you know why? It’s the International Dog Day, the day in which we celebrate our best friends. It was founded in America in 2004 by the animal expert Colleen Paige, and has spread worldwide. Many will think that ‘they are just dogs’ but no, they are not just dogs. They are real friends who accompany and change many people lives.
This day was established, not only to celebrate all the dogs in the world but also to raise awareness on the topic of mistreatment and abandonment of dogs, which, nowadays, are unfortunately still too widespread.
Thanks to our beloved dogs, children and teenagers learn how to take care of animals, to socialise and grow with more balance and responsibility. While adults and the elderly have a sweet company and one more reason to exercise, that is alywas good for health. As Affinity Foundation points out, 60% of people think that dogs help to love and respect people.
Not to mention, the infinite love they give us without asking for anything in return, except a handful of treats and some cuddles. As Schopenhauer said «“whoever has never kept dogs does not know what it is to love and be loved”
Here we go, all the celebrities posted their photos and various selfies in the sweet company of their four-legged friends. Valentino with his six pugs. Curiosity: all his dogs have names that begin with the letter M: Milton (who disappeared a few years ago), Monty, Maude, Margot, Maggie and Molly.
Perhaps one of the most famous dogs on Instagram, with more than 400k followers, indeed, we could also define her an influencer. We are talking about Matilde, French bulldog now called Mati, the Ferragnez dog.
We cannot forget Orso and Bosco, Boston Terrier of Alessandro Michele to whom he also dedicated a capsule collection. Adorable!
Finally, we have Audrey Versace, that appears on Donatella’s profile with the latest fashion outfits, including bibs with jellyfish and gold collars with pendants.
