It’s holiday time, finally! After long, endless months of work, here comes everyone’s favorite time, vacation. We need a break: airports, serenity, suitcases, tranquility and relax. But where have Italians decided to go on vacation this year?
We have always been super beach lovers, in fact, most of us chose a destination of relax and chill by the sea. But beware, a small portion, amounting to 9%, opted for a cultural vacation by choosing an art city. There are also those who go against the tide, 11% chose mountains, trying to escape the heat, mugginess and crowds. For those who chose abroad, the most sought-after destinations were in France, Austria and Slovenia, as well as Spain, Greece and the United Kingdom, joined by Portugal. Although, deep down, we like Italy too much and most opted for a vacation in our beloved land, as did most tourists.
