Who doesn’t love Christmas decorations and shopping? Cities light up and people start thinking about what gifts to buy. In between stores, that’s when everyone stops by Galleria Vittorio Emanuele to look at and photograph the majestic Christmas tree. For the past eight years, the tree was decorated by Swarovski with its crystals made in Austria.
This year, however, it is Gucci taking its place with “The Gift of Love” installation. Having just opened a new store of more than 900 square meters, now the Florentine brand also wants to think about the tree, for which it has invested as much as one million euros. The lighting will extend from the Corvetto area to the Galleria, with a very modern tree. Instead of the usual traditional fir, the fashion house has chosen to build the shape of the tree with parcels on silver and white, stacked one on top of the other, all with the iconic Horsebit symbol.
