The first iPhone cover that can be planted and grows is a reality! It’s called iGreen Cover and was invented by Italian brand iGreen Gadgets, specialized in the creation of sustainable and 100% recyclable objects.
iGreen Cover is entirely made of natural materials, including the powders used in the coloring process. It’s a cover based on cornstarch, with seeds stored in a small inner compartment. It’s super resistant and flexible. When you’re tired of it, plant and water it – you’ll see basil, daisies or forget-me-not grow. Cornstarch will help the seeds sprout.
After two years of research and development, iGreen Gadgets has made it to find a sustainable solution to the plastic cover disposal problem. Believe it or not, 20,000 tons of non-recoverable material are produced every year only for phone covers.
