The week of July 4th is the week dedicated to Haute Couture, or high level fashion. For this occasion, Belanciaga decided to open a store entirely dedicated to Haute Couture. Where to open it if not in the center of the fashion city Paris? Oui! in 10 Avenue George V, right where Mr. Cristóbal Balenciaga had opened his very first store in 1937. (Almost 90 years ago!)
The store will open on July 6th and will consist of two floors, a men’s and a woman’s department, reserving limited edition and customised products. The CEO of the brand, Cédric Charbit reveals that :”The concept of the Couture Store is a gateway to Couture, which remains a very closed universe, especially for new generations.”
True, also because we are used to associate Balenciaga with a young, street, modern, technological and avant-garde style but it’s not just this! Let’s not forget that Balenciaga is also heritage, tradition, craftsmanship and savoir faire.
