Giorgio Armani was born in Piacenza in 1934. It seems that his dream was to become a doctor but something changed during his life. In fact, Giorgio enrolled in the faculty of Medicine at the University of Milan but after three years he shelved this road. After being in the military for a few years, he began working as a window dresser for La Rinascente. Right here, he discovered the world of fashion, from which he is fascinated. Later, he became a designer for Nino Cerruti and in 1975 he launched his own brand. But when did the boom happen for the still unknown designer? When he produces all the wardrobe for the iconic film “American Gigolo” starring Richard Gere, in the guise of a sexy, elegant and modern man.
