Autumn officially began on September 23rd, the days are getting shorter, the sun is starting to hide earlier than usual, cold weather is coming and temperatures are dropping… Yet this year it still feels like summer.
In recent weeks, some cities have reached 30 degrees, such as Florence 33, Perugia and Viterbo 30. Even in the coming days, it seems that temperatures are not going to drop because of an African anticyclone that will hit Europe. In fact, we are not the only country affected; France, Austria, Belgium, Poland, Switzerland and the United Kingdom have also recorded warmer-than-normal temperatures.
Many are taking advantage of this to have a few last days at the beach, a weekend at the lake or a trip out of town. Although this weather may be pleasant, it is all because of global warming that is increasingly affecting everyday life.
This year it looks like autumn will be a long time coming.
