Since Giorgio Armani founded his brand now almost 50 years ago, in 1975, he has certainly become a key figure in the fashion industry. As of today, the Armani Group boasts a turnover of more than 2 billion and more than 8,000 employees worldwide.
To celebrate his talent, the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore has decided to award him an honorary degree in Global Business Management. The ceremony will be May 11th at the Municipal Theater in Piacenza, the city where Giorgio was born. This is yet another recognition that the designer gets, in all these years, the entrepreneur has collected several, including; the honorary degree in Industrial Design from the Design of the Politecnico di Milano, Award for Best International Designer given to him by the Council of Fashion Designers of America, the doctorate from the Royal College of Art in London and finally the honorary degree from the Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design.
