For the past few days our social media have been flooded with news about ChatGPT. The latest among them is that the software has been blocked in Italy because of a data breach, a loss of data. But do you really know what this ChatGPT is?let me explain it to you.
ChatGPT, Chat Generative Pretrained Transformer, was created by OpenAI, is an artificial intelligence software that can process human conversations. We can summarise it by saying that it is a chatbot, it is possible to ask the AI for any kind of information, write an essay, an email, a code, a piece of advice, a song, a poem and much more… To access the chat you just need to create an OpenAI account, linking your email and declare that you are over 18 years old. As anticipated before, for now it is not available in Italy, it may be back active at the end of April. Once you log in, just start chatting!
“Hello ChatGPT!”
In this case, it can be used as a hobby or to have fun with friends, but it can also come in handy for less futile purposes. For example, work-wise, it can be used for compiling research, brainstorming, writing computer code, automating some processes, customer service, translations. Professional fields that could make good use of it include: marketing, operations, engineering, risk and legal, and research and development.
The key to making the most of ChatGPT is to ask the right question in the right way; you need to speak in detail and specifically. Of course, it is important to remember that we are talking about a technological tool and, as such, it has limitations. It may be that in certain contexts it writes nonsense or wrong answers, in short, it is not really able to understand what it writes. Replace a human being 100% is not possible, for now…
Do you think it could come in handy?
