Milan fashion week fall winter 2023 – 2024 ended with 165 appointments marked in the calendar of the National Chamber of Italian Fashion, including physical and virtual fashion shows, presentations and events. Let’s take a look at the highlights of these fashion shows.

Let’s start with something simple and classic. Fendi gives us a minimal and elegant fashion show, but never banal, with unstructured suits that recall the 90s, unfailing sheath dresses and all-logo dresses. All orchestrated by Silva Venturini Fendi’s daughter, Delfina Delettrez-Fendi.

While we await the official arrival of Sabato De Sarno as creative director, Gucci’s design team has been thinking about the runway show. Everything revolves around the brand’s deep heritage, mainly between the 90s and early 2000s. We got oversized jeans, see-through and logos. The most iconic look was definitely the micro triangle bra in silver with the shiny logo in plain sight. All worn by great super models, including Julia Nobis, Hanne Gaby Odiele and Stella Lucia Deopito.

Let’s continue with Dolce & Gabbana, which never disappoints. Gold, red and black are the main colours and sensuality is the watchword, of course. Sheath dresses in palliettes, vinyl dresses, tailored jackets and chiffon dresses. The look that did not go unnoticed was definitely that of Ashley Graham, champion of body positivity. The model wore a total red look, a slinky tulle midi dress that gently hugged her curves, paired with sandals and bag, also red.

We close with Sunnei, who surprised the audience with a very special performance, starting with precise instructions. “1. Leave your expectations outside this building. Drop all preconceptions, shake off assumptions. 2. Now, forget the idea of perfectly perfect and welcome reality. 3. Okay, you have finally reached a SUNNEI state of mind.” The models, after walking the runway, let themselves fall (literally!) off the stage into the audience.
