Here is the latest post gone viral on instagram, posted by the photographer Tati (on Ig @illumitati) and reposted also by the queens of the application itself, Kylie Jenner and Kim Kardashian, reaching more than 2 million likes.
But what is this controversy about? Mr Mark Zuckerberg realised that Tik Tok is riding the wave greatly, maybe almost better than Instagram, so, he decided to introduce new features that make Instagram more and more similar to Tik Tok.
Taking a look to Oberlo’s statistics, it turns out that Tik Tok was the most downloaded app on the App Store with 33 million downloads in just four months, surpassing the records of YouTube, Instagram, Whatsapp and Facebook. Tik Tok has a billion active users worldwide, just like Instagram. The only difference is that on Tik Tok, users spend almost an hour a day while on Instagram only 29 minutes. Mark Zuckerberg doesn’t like this content…
If you have updated the Ig application you will surely have noticed that in your home posts appear in full screen and, in addition to the posts of your friends, will appear also suggested posts. That looks like Tik Tok… But as Tati says, we don’t care about the suggested content! We just want to see cute photos of our friends!
Even the captions undergone through a change, in fact, to read the captions, especially the longer ones, it’s necessary to click a special button, benefiting the content with short captions, especially videos, exactly like… Guess what? Tik Tok.
Every social network has its strengths, it’s important not to distort too much their essence just to try to resemble to their competitors.
