Although Zara is one of the fast fashion giants, it is slowly approaching the world of sustainability. One of its latest sustainable initiatives will start right on November 3rd and will be dedicated to the repair and resale of Zara garments.

All customers who would like to have a Zara product repaired will be able to make a request online or bring the fashion item directly to the store, for now only in the UK. There will be a charge for the repair service and it will be done within 10 business days. But the project does not end here… The brand is also devising a resale platform, more on this in the near future.

Paula Ampuero, head of sustainability, has certainly organised an important initiative, taking a big step toward sustainability. Despite this, we have to remember that the brand still remains a fast fashion brand. So the road to a sustainable world is still a very looong one but it’s definitely a very good start!
