Andy Warhol once said: “I want to die in my blue jeans”.

On the other hand, Yves Saint Laurent would have liked to invent them: “I wish I had invented blue jeans: the most spectacular, practical, comfortable and casual thing. They have expression, modesty, sex appeal, simplicity, everything I want for my clothes.”

“Jeans are the greatest invention of all time” even Mary Quant, the creator of the miniskirt, was a big fan of them.

How to blame them! Denim is now a true religion. Who doesn’t have at least one pair of jeans in their closet? It has become the most versatile garment of the moment, now revisited in a thousand different versions. It can be elegant, formal, chic but also practical, sporty and casual. Perfect for a day at the office but also for a night at the disco. Don’t know what to wear? Don’t panic! The answer is jeans.

We must thank Levi Strauss for this invention, in 1873 he created the first pair of jeans, a simple cotton fabric with a twill texture that creates the classic diagonal pattern of jeans.

Back to us. Moschino decided to dedicate a new line to denim including ready to wear and women’s accessories. It will be called M05CH1N0 Jeans. Jeremy Scott certainly could not choose a banal name! Probably your parents will remember, the line Moschino Jeans was already created in the past, in 1986, designed by Franco Moschino. In 2008 the fashion house decided to transform it into the beloved Love Moschino because jeans were no longer the protagonists, the line then was and is dedicated to a younger target with more affordable prices, proposing a young, modern and casual style.

Today, Jeremy Scott has decided to propose it again, putting denim at the center, obviously in a modern and extravagant key, classic of Moschino. The line will debut with the 2023 pre-fall collection in May.
