When we mention boho chic, what’s the first image that comes to mind? Sienna Miller at the 2004 Glastonbury Festival or the Olsen twins throughout the early 2000s. Or perhaps, to stay current, Chemena Kamali’s latest runway for Chloé’s Fall/Winter 2024/2025 collection. It’s arguably this latest example that has contributed to a new revival of the Seventies-inspired trend, which surged in popularity at the turn of the Millennium. It goes without saying that fashion’s cyclical nature is never identical to its predecessors but evolves to adapt to current tastes.

Consider Kamali’s collection itself, comprised of billowy dresses and flowing blouses, their translucent fabrics enveloping the models’ bodies in a riot of ruffles and asymmetric details. As explained by Christian Allaire in Vogue, the designer retrieved the pillars of boho aesthetics and incorporated them into sleeker and more elegant silhouettes. Simultaneously, this reinterpretation has been embraced in real life by various celebrities, including Rihanna, Zoe Kravitz, and once again, Sienna Miller.
